The Tables

A small, considered range.

The featherweight laptop table is the signature — thin legs, light enough to carry one-handed, sized for a laptop and a cup of tea. Alongside it, Henk builds a handful of larger pieces to order, each in your choice of blond birch, dark marine ply, or laminated bamboo, in three sizes.

Henk Stutterheim's Cape Town home, furnished with his own tables

The Maker

Forty years of design, in a table you can lift with one finger.

Henk Stutterheim is an architect and director at Munnik Visser, the Cape Town practice. After a career shaping buildings, he turned the same discipline to a smaller object — and became quietly obsessed with one problem: a table light enough to move without thinking, precise enough to trust with a laptop and a full cup of tea.

Every Ten Times Table is made by his own hand. The legs are glued and squared in a purpose-built jig — perfectly aligned, no residue, no compromise — then sanded and finished over days, not minutes. Nothing here is mass-produced. It can't be.

The result is an heirloom-grade piece at the scale of an accessory: furniture, made the slow way, for the way you actually live.

The Craft

Why it feels different the moment you pick it up.

Featherweight

Engineered to be lifted and carried one-handed — room to room, sofa to bed, with no effort at all.

Thin, true legs

Each leg laminated and squared in a custom jig, so the line stays elegant without losing rigidity.

Made to last

Marine and bamboo cores, sealed finishes — a surface that lives easily with daily use and the odd spill.

Made to order
